good and bad / bene e male

Good and Bad, with Sheikh Burhanuddin Herrmann. (eng/ita)

Sheikh Burhanuddin is a german Sufi Master.

Chiediti

onestamente chi è migliore, tu o tuo marito.

Awareness and Balance of the Ego

The ego is a voice inside that directs people to be selfish, narrow-minded, limited,

addicted, hurtful, irresponsible, negative, angry, and hateful. The ego is a main source

of problems because it allows us to believe that others are separate from us. It is the

opposite of sharing and humility. The ego also has a positive side, as it motivates one

to take action. It is up to each individual to choose whether they act for themselves or

whether to also act in the well-being of others. It is important to be aware of one’s ego

and to balance the positives and negatives.

Willpower. Self-control. Self discipline.  These are many names that all mean the same thing:

having the mental strength and attitude to consciously do the things you know you must do;

even when you don’t emotionally want to.

Higher willpower is associated with being happier, scoring higher on standardized tests and

earning more money.  Willpower is also highly correlated with accomplishing personal goals.

What you may not know however, is that willpower is a resource that you can call upon –

and at the same time, it is also a skill that you can  improve.

Sheikh Burhanuddin is a mystic and spiritual teacher of German origin.

When he was young the desire of his heart led him to Maulana Sheikh

Nazim Adil al-Haqqani Rabbani, the current Grand Master and the world

guide of the Naqshbandi Sufi Order. He initiated and educated him

to the traditional way of the dervishes mainly in Cyprus, where Maulana

resides, and during numberless journeys around the world.

Upon request of Maulana and in line with an old Sufi custom,

Sheikh Burhanuddin for nearly three decades teaches travelling with

tireless passion, sweetness and humor, through cities, nations and continents.

He loves to sit with with the searcher of truth, with the hearts in love of any

backgrounds and beliefs.

nvéntate a ti mismo a cada instante.”
